Significance
The word Nakshatra in sanskrit means “that which does not decay”. The Nakshatra is one of the 27 segments of the great circle that is considered as the annual path of the moon in the Lunar Planetary house system of the Hindu Astrology. The ancient vedic astrology considers Nakshatra as playing a very important role in our lives. The Janma Nakshatra is the one where the moon is placed at the time of one’s birth.
Offering prayers and pujas in a prescribed traditional vedic way to the planets during their main periods (maha dasa) or sub periods(antar dasa) is very important to reduce their malefic effects in ones lives. Performing this Homam provides inner strength thereby one can see good results in their endeavour at times instantly and other occasions slowly yet certainly.
